ATP World 250 series
The ATP World 250 series is the fifth tier in the men's tennis calendar after Grand Slam tournaments, ATP World Tour Finals, ATP World Tour Masters 1000 and ATP World Tour 500. The first tournament of the new series that were known as the World Series held in 1990. In 2000 the series were renamed to the ATP International Series and since 2009 it is known as ATP World 250 series. The winners of the tournaments are awarded 250 rankings points.
