Fred PERRY, United Kingdom, was the first person to win all majors during his career. Furthermore, the achievement is known as the career Grand Slam. Fred Perry completed it at the French Open in 1935 after defeating Gottfried VON CRAMM 6-3, 3-6, 6-1, 6-3.
Donald BUDGE, USA, completed a career Grand Slam at the French Open in 1938 after winning Roderich MENZEL 6-3, 6-2, 6-4. In the same year, Donald Budge won all four majors in one calendar year and became the first player to take the Grand Slam.
Rodney LAVER, Australia, won his first calendar and career Grand Slam in 1962 after beating his teammate Roy EMERSON 6-2, 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 at the US Open. In 1968, Rod Laver achieved it again and became the only tennis player to have won a calendar Grand Slam twice.
Roy EMERSON, Australia, completed a career Grand Slam at the Wimbledon in 1964 after winning Fred STOLLE 6-4, 12-10, 4-6, 6-3. In 1962, Roy Emerson completed a career Grand Slam in doubles, and is the only male player to have completed a career Grand Slam in both singles and doubles.
Andre AGASSI, USA, completed his career Grand Slam at the French Open in 1999 after a hard-fought win over Andrei MEDVEDEV 1-6, 2-6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4. With this victory, Andre Agassi became the first male tennis player to complete the Super Career Slam, having won gold at the 1996 Olympics.
Roger FEDERER, Switzerland, completed his career Grand Slam at the French Open in 2009 after the long-awaited victory in Paris over Robin SODERLING 6-1, 7-6, 6-4. For Roger Federer, who later became the first male tennis player to win 20 Grand Slam titles, this was his only victory at Roland Garros.
Rafael NADAL, Spain, completed a career Grand Slam at the US Open in 2010 after beating Novak DJOKOVIC 6-4, 5-7, 6-4, 6-2. Rafael Nadal holds a unique record in tennis history, having played in 14 Roland Garros finals and won each of them.
Novak DJOKOVIC, Serbia, completed his career Grand Slam at the French Open in 2016 after defeating Andy MURRAY 3-6, 6-1, 6-2, 6-4. Novak Djokovic holds the record for winning 24 Grand Slam singles titles.
Carlos ALCARAZ, Spain, completed a career Grand Slam after his maiden win at the Australian Open in 2026 over Novak DJOKOVIC 2-6, 6-2, 6-3, 7-5. This victory made Alcaraz the youngest tennis player to achieve this success.
Women's Singles
Maureen CONNOLLY, USA, was the first female tennis player to complete a career Grand Slam af the French Open in 1953 with victory over Doris HART 6-2, 6-4. In the same year, she won all four majors. She took a calendar Grand Slam, the first of any female player.
Doris HART, USA, completed her career Grand Slam at the US Open in 1954 after winning Louise BROUGH 6-8, 6-1, 8-6. After this achievement, Doris Hart became the first player in tennis history to win titles in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles at all four Grand Slam tournaments, also known as the boxed set.
Shirley FRY, USA, completed a career Grand Slam at the Australian Open in 1957 after beating Althea GIBSON 6-3, 6-4. After the success in Australia, Fry retired from tennis and devoted herself to her family.
Margaret COURT, Australia, completed a career Grand Slam at Wimbledon in 1963 (who then competed under her birth name Margaret Smith) after defeating Billie Jean MOFFITT (later - Billie Jean King) 6-3, 6-4. Margaret Court is one of the greatest tennis players of all time, having won 64 Grand Slam titles across singles, doubles, and mixed, and 3 calendar Grand Slams (one in singles and two in mixed).
Billie-Jean KING, USA, completed a career Grand Slam at the Roland Garros in 1972 after winning Evonne Goolagong 6-3, 6-3. In 1973, Billie Jean King founded the WTA and became its first president, while remaining an active tennis player.
Chris EVERT, USA, completed her career Grand Slam at the Australian Open in 1982 after beating Martina NAVRATILOVA 6-3, 2-6, 6-3. Chris Evert became the first player, male or female, to win 1,000 singles matches. In 1976, she became the first female tennis player to reach $1 million in career prize money.
Martina NAVRATILOVA, USA, completed a career Grand Slam at the US Open in 1983 after winning Chris EVERT 6-1, 6-3. Martina Navratilova achieved 59 Grand Slam titles, a second all-time record behind Margaret Court's 64. She had a remarkably long career and won her last Grand Slam title in 2006 (mixed at the US Open) at the age of 49 years and 10 months.
Steffi GRAF, Germany, won her calendar and career Grand Slam in 1988 after victory over Gabriela SABATINI 6-3, 3-6, 6-1. In the same year, Steffi Graf won gold at the Seoul Olympics and became the only tennis player, male or female, to win the calendar Gold Grand Slam.
Serena WILLIAMS, USA, completed a career Grand Slam at the Australian Open in 2003 after beating her sister Venus WILLIAMS 7-6, 3-6, 6-4. Serena and Venus Williams are the most decorated tennis players in Olympic history, winning 4 gold medals - one in singles and 3 in doubles each.
Maria SHARAPOVA, Russia, completed a career Grand Slam at the French Open in 2012 after defeating Sara ERRANI 6-3, 6-2.
