Hungarian Grand Prix, Budapest
The first tournament was held in 1993, 32 years ago. Initially, the event was played on outdoor clay courts. Still in 2017 the tournament moved to hard courts at the arena, which earlier hosted many tennis tournaments, such as the Federation Cup, the Hungarian Championship, and ATP Challenger Tour events. In 2020, the event was not held due to an understanding between the organizers of the tournament and WTA. In 2021, the event replaced BRD Bucharest Open.
