Rothesay Classic Birmingham

The first edition of the tournament was in 1982, 41 years ago. The event was held at the Edgbaston Priory Club, home to many tennis legends - Maud WATSON, the first Wimbledon ladies singles winner, and Gordon LOWE, Australian Open winner, were members of the Lawn Tennis Club. The tournament is regarded as one of the premier-level ladies’ tournaments and continues to attract many top players from around the world. The 2020 competition was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
