The first tournament was held in 2015, 8 years ago, as a part of the WTA 125K series. In 2019, the event joined the WTA International tour and was held in the most comprehensive sports center in the seaside resort town of Hua Hin, Thailand. In 2021-2022, the tournament was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
