Atlanta Open
In 2010, 14 years ago, ATP decided to discontinue the event Indianapolis Tennis Championships because of low ticket sales and a struggle to attract top players and replaced it with a new tournament. The event is played on outdoor hard courts as part of the USTA's US Open Series, the seven-week summer season lead-up to the US Open. Due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, the 2020 edition of the tournament was canceled.
