ATP Tour 500 Series
The ATP Tour 500 Series is the fourth highest tier in the men's tennis calendar after the four Grand Slam tournaments, ATP Tour Finals, and the ATP Tour Masters 1000. in 1990-1999 the first tournaments were known as the Championship Series, then from 2000 to 2008 as the ATP International Series Gold, and since 2009 as ATP Tour 500 Series. The winners of the tournaments are awarded 500 ranking points.
