Swiss Indoors Basel

The first tournament was held in 1970, 53 years ago. In 2006, former ball boy Roger FEDERER won a home tournament in Basel for the first time and, in addition, was chosen as world sportsman of the Year. Basel native Roger Federer holds the record for most singles titles, having won the tournament ten times. Now it is the world's third-largest indoor tournament after Paris and Shanghai. In 2020-2021, the event was not held due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
