Tennis Channel Open, Las Vegas
The tournament was founded in 1986, 39 years ago. From 1987–2005 the event occurred place at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, where Andre AGASSI was crowned champion four times. After moving to Las Vegas, tournament director, and Tennis Channel founder Steve Bellamy created a circuslike atmosphere around tennis events. In 2008, The Tennis Channel announced that it was selling the tournament to the ATP.
