The tournament was founded in 1993, 31 years ago. The event is famous for its fan experience. It has frequently welcomed the top 10 ATP World Tour players despite the ATP action primarily taking place in the 8,200-seat stadium and on Court 1, which has just a few uncovered metal bleachers. But the climate, ocean, and beautiful village create a unique atmosphere for the tournament.
