China Open, Beijing
The first men's singles and doubles events were held in 1993, 30 years ago. It was a year in which the Qatar Open and Dubai Tennis Championships were also introduced to the men's tour, as the ATP opened a series of new tournaments in Asia. Now the competition is held at the Beijing Olympic Green Tennis Center, built for the 2008 Olympic Games. In 2009, the venue was renamed to National Tennis Center. The venue has a 15,000-seat stadium with a retractable roof, named the Diamond Court due to its likeness. In 2020-2022, the event was not held due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
