The first tournament was held in 2016, 9 years ago. The event in Sofia replaced the PBZ Zagreb Indoors as the Croatian organizers had financial difficulties and failed to secure sponsors. The tournament held at the Multifunctional Sports Hall "Arena Armeec Sofia", one of the most modern in Europe, designed and constructed in full compliance with international standards.
